Senior Pharmacist – Workforce Development

  • Full time role – fixed term to January 2025
  • Co-lead the Workforce Development service for The Royal Melbourne Hospital Pharmacy Team
  • Facilitate programs to meet the developmental needs of our staff

We are a dynamic and supportive pharmacy team working together to deliver safe, high quality patient care and medicines management. We enjoy a collaborative working environment and you will work as part of quality team to develop high quality and innovative pharmacy services and quality improvement initiatives. In return, you will be supported to develop your leadership skills

Your new role:

  • Support training and education needs for our pharmacy department.
  • Manage and be central liaison person for University Teaching portfolio, including coordination, planning and management of all student placements.
  • Lead and manage the Pharmacy Intern Program as well as the Pharmacist Residency Programs.
  • Provide mentoring for pharmacists, technicians, interns and students.
  • Participate in research and quality assurance activities.

About you:

  • You hold current Registration as a Pharmacist with APHRA.
  • You demonstrate knowledge and experience in supervising pharmacy students and interns.
  • You have a broad range of experience in hospital pharmacy.
  • You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You hold a Masters of Clinical Pharmacy (desirable).
