Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacist to work within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu LHN (BHFLHN) SA Pharmacy Team based at Mount Barker District Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. You will be an integral part of a small regional team of Pharmacists and Allied Health Assistants to provide a complex range of professional, inventory management, clinical and counselling services for patients. Mount Barker District Soldiers' Memorial Hospital provides acute services ranging from emergency services and in-hospital care for adults and children to specialist surgical, obstetrics and outpatients. This role encompasses a broad range of clinical areas and provides a quality, comprehensive, efficient, cost effective and complex range of professional clinical and inventory management services for inpatients and outpatients. Exciting hospital redevelopments are underway starting with a new Emergency Department opening in April 2023. Sunrise EMR will be implemented in April 2023 and experience with EMR is desirable, but not essential. The Senior Pharmacist is responsible for the organisation, management and operation of the designated pharmacy area. The provision of a comprehensive high-level range of pharmacy services, to exercise independent and autonomous judgement in the provision of pharmacy services, medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients of the hospital as well as medical and nursing staff and other health professionals in accordance with hospital and divisional policies and procedures and professional standards and guidelines relating to pharmacy practice. The optimisation of outcomes for patients by implementing strategies to achieve the best possible quality use of pharmaceuticals in a safe and cost-effective manner and in accordance with hospital policy. Educational/Vocational Qualifications - Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent - Registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia Application Information The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.
