Senior Clinical Pharmacist (Grade 3)

Manning Hospital provides a broad range of specialist services to the residents of Greater Taree, Great Lakes and Gloucester local government area.

An opportunity exists to join the Manning Hospital Pharmacy Service who provide medication reconciliation for patients, review of medicine charts, supply of outpatient medications, antimicrobial stewardship and inpatient care. The service also supplies the medications for HiTH and dose administration aids (Webster packs) for rehabilitation and mental health.

As a pivotal team member you will work with the Manning Hospital Pharmacy Director as part of a diligent and committed team of 4 pharmacists and 6 support staff (assistant / technician / admin) to deliver contemporary and forward thinking clinical pharmacy services with the capability to promote excellence in medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship across the hospital working in multi-disciplinary teams.

You will have proven leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and possess the ability to manage complex tasks within a busy and fast-paced acute hospital environment.

Within this position you will be supported by the Director of Pharmacy and the Senior Pharmacist leadership team. Orientation will be provided, with ongoing training and education monitored through manager catch ups and annual performance development review. All Pharmacy staff are encouraged and supported to undertake professional development and research activities.

Information for Applicants: 

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).
