An exciting new opportunity exists at Eastern Health for two early career pharmacists to join our team and participate in our SHPA accredited structured residency program.
The successful applicants will work across two Eastern Health sites (Box Hill Hospital and Maroondah Hospital). The program will include 6 month rotations to General Medicine, General Surgery, Aged Care/Continuing Care (Peter James Centre), Operations (Dispensary and or Aseptic services) at a home site (either Box Hill or Maroondah). The Residents will be assigned a Preceptor/Mentor and will complete tasks such as Mini Clinical Evaluation Exercises, Case Based Discussions which then will be presented as a Case Presentations and will develop a professional portfolio.
Supervision and training of intern pharmacists and pharmacy students and participation in weekend, public holiday and on-call rosters will be required.
Applicants need to be a registered pharmacist (or soon to be registered) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and have a valid Victorian Driver Licence.
Previous clinical pharmacy experience is desirable.
