This is an important role to help deliver a number of research priorities for the Peter Mac pharmacy department leading up to 2025.

The Peter Mac Pharmacy Research Program is aimed at enabling Peter Mac pharmacists to participate in and lead local, state, national and international collaborative health services research to optimise safe and effective use of medicines for cancer patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated pharmacist to join our Pharmacy management team to help build research capability and deliver research priorities for the department. Areas of interest include (not limited to):
- Development, implementation and evaluation of clinical/consensus guidelines
- Implementation and evaluation of precision medicine
- Pharmacy practice research including evaluation of pharmacist led programs and new technologies
In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop your own research portfolio, influence strategic direction of research for the department, and support pharmacy staff involved in research projects.
The Research Pharmacy Manager substantive role is 0.5EFT however, there may be flexibility to increase hours up to 1.0 EFT in the first two years to work with the Pharmacy leadership team on additional programs to bridge evidence-practice gaps, translate research in to clinical practice and develop implementation and education programs.
You should have a broad background in hospital or clinical pharmacy experience in cancer care. You must be registered, or be eligible for registration, with AHPRA, and doctoral or post-doctoral research experience in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
