Description

  • Immediate start
  • Part-time (0.4FTE), 16  hours per week
  • $90,000 - $100,000 (pro rata) per annum plus superannuation

The Publications Pharmacist will assist with the ongoing production of existing SHPA titles – the Australian Injectable Drugs Handbook (AIDH) and Don’t Rush to Crush and assist with the development of new publications.

This is a part time position of 16 hours per week (0.4FTE) with flexibility negotiable. Salary is drawn from the Victorian Pharmacist Grade 2–3 ranges, with other conditions as per standard SHPA contract. Salary packaging is available. Initially offered as a one-year contract.

Key Duties:

SHPA Publications

  • Liaise with editorial committees and reviewers to produce publications that are of the highest quality and accuracy, within scope, on time and on budget
  • Contribute to and maintain the project plan for each publication
  • Review, edit and manage updates of monographs for each publication
  • Manage and maintain version control and references for each publication
  • Contribute to the archive file for each addition of an SHPA publication, for reference and in the event of liability or misadventure
  • Undertake project plan actions in a timely manner
  • Contribute to the SHPA Publications Strategy and publications sales in conjunction with the Marketing Specialist and Member Experience Team.

Support for routine operational functions of SHPA

  • Assist with general administration or routine SHPA functions as required
  • Give support to SHPA staff to address member queries on any publications topic
  • Develop other policies or undertake projects from time to time, as required

Required Skills:

Essential:

  • Registered pharmacist with at least 3 years postgraduate clinical experience
  • Highly personable with a willing and positive approach to working within a small team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience in editing or development of publications or guidelines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to conduct literature searches
  • Sound critical appraisal skills.

Desirable:

  • Ability to work with a range of volunteers from around Australia
  • Digital publishing experience
  • Working knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker or InDesign
