Working under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme, we at the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) ensure that pharmacists have the skills and knowledge to provide effective and up to date health care for the communities we serve. We do this by accrediting university programs, intern training programs, conducting examinations and assessments, and assessing overseas qualifications and skills.

We are seeking a Pharmacist to work with our Professional Services team to provide expert knowledge and assistance in examinations, accreditation, policy and research. This position reports to the Executive Director Professional Services and is responsible for:

  • Providing subject matter advice and assist with the development of examination content
  • Managing examination policies in conjunction with the Examinations team
  • Assisting with projects to advance quality assurance and reporting requirements
  • Assisting in the management of accreditation processes for programs and providers
  • Researching and preparing papers, frameworks and documents for various fora
  • Engaging with and representing APC in external forums and working parties
  • Providing advice on pharmacy-related issues

To be successful, you will:

  • Be a registered pharmacist with experience in pharmacy practice with a keen interest in education
  • Have strong communication and engagement skills including the ability to work constructively with a range of stakeholders in health, education and regulation
  • Have a high level written and oral communication skills
  • Be able to work independently and cooperatively within a team
  • Understand the Higher Education sector in Australia (desirable)
