About the role

Grampians Health Ballarat is seeking qualified Pharmacy Technician(s) to join our friendly and professional team in the Pharmacy Department.

Key Responsibilities

The role consists of providing support in several areas which may include but not limited to:

  • Dispensary (dispensing of inpatient, outpatient and discharge medications) and where appropriate compounding and clinical trials-related assistance;
  • Distribution of stock to ward areas including pre-packing;
  • Other technical duties (e.g. purchasing, pharmacy store, COVID-vaccine logistics and deliveries) to assist in the day to day functioning of pharmacy department.

Skills and experience

  • Successful completion of an accredited Technician qualification or equivalent; e.g. Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) or equivalent qualification as approved by AHPRA.
  • Experience as a dispensary assistant or pharmacy technician in undertaking a range of dispensary tasks is viewed favourably.
