The Contract: Ongoing, Full Time

The Position:

The Pharmacy Department at BRHS offers comprehensive pharmacy services to all areas of the health service and also supplies medication, drug information and support to external clients, other smaller hospitals, bush nursing centres and community health centres in East Gippsland.  In this role you will join an inclusive and respected team who have a very collaborative relationship with the multidisciplinary team of health professionals across the health service.  The role offers a range of opportunities to grow your skills in specialist pharmacy services including Oncology, Emergency and pharmacotherapy, as well as exposure to the Electronic Medical Records system rollout.

What you need:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree and current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
  • Possess or be working towards post-tertiary qualifications with a significant clinical Pharmacy component is highly desirable
  • Proven record of achievement in a pharmacy service environment with the ability to manage medications in line with legal and professional requirements
  • A good working knowledge of the PBS system
  • Patient focussed with an understanding of the importance of accurate and responsive communication
