This role gives you the opportunity to rotate through these surgical areas, learning more about the pharmacological management that supports each area.

About the Role

Working closely with the Surgery Pharmacy Team Leaders, you’ll be recognised as a knowledge resource and will engage in training and developing team members in both Pharmacy and other disciplines. You will provide a high quality clinical service to patients whilst building on your existing experience. You’ll also lead quality improvement initiatives and will have the opportunity to engage with Pharmacy professional groups outside Monash Health.

We have Surgery services at Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, Monash Medical Centre (Clayton), and Moorabbin Hospital, so you will have the opportunity to work at any of these sites.

What You bring

You already have significant hospital pharmacy experience and/or a genuine interest in Surgery.  With a willingness to lead by example and to role-model expectations to others, you are also highly professional. Your positive approach is infectious and people enjoy working with you.

You can also demonstrate:

  • Leadership experience
  • Commitment to research, education and professional contribution in Surgery
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist and Australian working rights

Relevant postgraduate qualifications, such as Master of Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Stage 2 or Stage 3 will be highly regarded.

In return

You’ll have the rare opportunity to progress your Pharmacy career in your particular area of interest.  Our Pharmacy leadership team is highly regarded and will work with you to further develop your skills and expertise, positioning you for potential advancement down the track.
