Grade 2/3 Formulary and Business Development Pharmacist – Procurement/Clinical

Monash Health is an impressive organisation of seven public hospitals, 21 community sites, five aged care facilities, and university affiliated international research and tertiary education.

The Pharmacy Department is seeking an outstanding pharmacist to join our Formulary and Business Development team.

 

Grade 2/3 Pharmacist – Victorian Public Health Sector Enterprise Agreement Classification SX2-SX81
Dandenong Hospital location – requirement across all sites

About the role

As a member of the Formulary and Business Development team, the Procurement/Clinical Pharmacist will:
Liaise and manage relationships with key representatives from the pharmaceutical industry including resulting business development opportunities
Develop the Pharmacy Department Procurement Plan, in conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy, including resulting Invitations to Supply
Support the activities of the Monash Health Medication Safety & Therapeutics Committee including management of the Medication Formulary and the Single Patient Use Committee.
Maintain a patient facing role by providing pharmacy services at the Dandenong Hospital (DH) site through rotations in a variety of pharmacy practice settings.
Grading of the position is dependent on the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience.

 

About you

Essential

Registered as pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Working with Children Check
Hospital pharmacy experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated leadership, negotiation and decision making skills
Ability to work effectively in pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel®
Commitment to continued professional development and education

Desirable

Clinical educator and/or supervision training, skills and experience
Relevant post graduate qualifications (completed or in progress)
Previous experience in leading and/or supervising research projects
