You will apply your professional expertise, knowledge, clinical competence and experience to provide professional pharmacy services to clients of the Port Lincoln Health Service. As the Pharmacist, you will coordinate, develop and provide a comprehensive, integrated and multidisciplinary Clinical Pharmacy service to Port Lincoln and associated outreach sites.
Contributing to a quality patient-centric medication management environment through promotion, delivery and evaluation of a high quality customer service, customer products and service standards, you will ensure the APAC (Australian Pharmaceutical Advisory Council) Guidelines are met. This role presents an exciting opportunity to help establish and consolidate the on-site pharmacy service in a new purpose-built department at Port Lincoln Hospital. Working for the state-wide SA Pharmacy Service, you will have the opportunity to contribute to new service development initiatives. The regional city of Port Lincoln abounds in exciting and interesting places to work, live and enjoy, where residents and visitors enjoy a clean, safe and unique location enhanced by the surrounding natural environment. Port Lincoln is the major service centre to the Eyre Peninsula, with burgeoning aquaculture activity and services which are provided to the vast region.
You will hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Demonstrating extensive experience in a hospital pharmacy practice with proven ability to supervise, educate and train professional and non-professional staff, you will be confident in working independently or under broad guidelines and self-direction. Your strong written and oral communication skills will equip you to effectively interact with a broad range of people and work effectively within a multidisciplinary health care team.
