Bay of Plenty District Health Board is establishing a dedicated Mental Health & Addictions Pharmacy Service and a number of new positions as part of the Interdisciplinary Team, and seeking a Senior Lead Pharmacist.
The successful applicant must have experience in Mental Health and Addictions. The role will lead service delivery supporting transition of care from hospital to community, mentoring junior staff, medication reconciliation, teaching, medication information, provision of patient education and some dispensary shifts.
The Lead Senior Pharmacist will oversee the service at Whakatane Hospital, although based at Tauranga Hospital, and have dedicated support staff (new positions) including rotational pharmacists and technicians across the two sites.
Participation in a weekend and on-call rotational roster is a requirement of the position.
You will have the support working closely with the Pharmacy Manager and Mental Health & Addictions leadership.
