This position is permanent, full-time and will be based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital - Royal Park Campus, though applicants must be flexible and be willing to work across the sites of the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Your new role

Our Royal Park Campus Pharmacy Department is expanding and we are excited to add a new leadership role: Lead Pharmacist – Royal Park Campus. This position offers applicants the challenges and rewards of coordinating a small and highly committed pharmacy team, as well as providing clinical pharmacy and dispensary services.

  • Lead the Royal Park Campus Pharmacy department as the Pharmacist regularly and usually in charge to deliver high quality and innovative pharmacy services and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead daily operations, line manage, perform human resources activities and oversee security of the Royal Park Campus Pharmacy department.
  • Provide clinical and dispensary pharmacy services to patients of Royal Park Campus.
  • Contribute to education, training and quality activities.

About you:

  • You have extensive hospital pharmacy experience with a demonstrated understanding of contemporary practice in hospital clinical pharmacy services and pharmacy operations.
  • You demonstrate a high level of clinical skills and knowledge as well as judgement and reasoning.
  • You have excellent communication, time management skills with the ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work and deliver to deadlines.
  • You work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • You have relevant post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or similar at a Masters or PhD level.
