The Pharmacy Department provides a range of Pharmacy services including clinical pharmacy service to ward areas, quality improvement projects, Residency Program, medication safety initiatives, Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) program, clinical trials, student teaching and training as well as on-site aseptic manufacturing. We are an accredited training site for the SHPA residency program.

We are seeking a passionate graduate pharmacist who values what we have to offer. We want you to start with us in early January 2020. This is an opportunity for you to be part of our great multidisciplinary team that provides you exposure to a range of clinical areas including general medical, surgery, palliative care, hospital in the home, mental health and the inpatient dispensary. We strive to be excellent communicators and adaptive in a learning environment, and we hope you will bring these qualities also. To be successful for this role, candidates need to demonstrate:
• Good basic clinical pharmacy and therapeutics knowledge consistent with undergraduate training.
• Demonstrated student practical experience, and awareness of hospital clinical pharmacy activities, consistent with SHPA Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy SHPA Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy Services (J Pharm Pract Res 2013; 43 (2): S2-S69).
• Demonstrated student practical experience and process in dispensing individual prescriptions for inpatients, outpatients and patients on discharge, consistent with PSA Dispensing Practice Guidelines (Australian Pharmaceutical Formulary and Handbook. 24th ed).
• An ability to develop and maintain rapport with clients of the Pharmacy service, and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
