About the role

Grampians Health welcomes applications from enthusiastic and dedicated pharmacists to support vaccination pharmacy service and other pharmacy operational areas.

As a Grade 1 Pharmacist You will also support the Deputy Directors of Pharmacy/delegates to enhance team building and excellence within the team, the Pharmacy Department and Allied Health. Parameters of this position include some of the following; mentoring and supervising undergraduate students and intern pharmacist and other pharmacy staff, participation in pharmacy education programs and providing education to staff from other disciplines.

As a Grade 2 Pharmacist, you will have at least three (3) year's experience and preferably a post graduate

qualification relevant to pharmacy. You will also support the Clinical Pharmacist Team Leaders and the Deputy Directors of Pharmacy to enhance

team building and excellence within the team, the Pharmacy Department and Allied Health. Parameters of this

position include some of the following; mentoring and supervising undergraduate students, intern pharmacist,

Grade 1 pharmacist and other pharmacy staff,

Skills and Experience

Grade-1 and 2:

  1. Pharmacist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Experience in the provision of hospital pharmacy services would be considered favourably. Note minimum of 3 years experience is mandatory for appointment at Grade 2.
  3. Sound knowledge of pharmacotherapy and a demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge and promote quality use of medicines.
  4. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise own workload in accordance with challenging and dynamic deadlines.
