Reporting to the Head of Education, the successful candidate will be part of a team whose focus is to provide excellence in education.

The role requires someone who has a strong understanding and knowledge of the principles of adult education and the National Competency Standards Framework for Pharmacists. They will be responsible for planning and content development of national seminars and webinars plus providing support for Branch CE. They will also be responsible for oversight of ClinCAT and a variety of project deliverables. They need to be a motivated self-starter with a strong education background. The candidate will possess excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritise activities and enjoy working with members.

This is a part-time (12-month maximum term) position of 20- 25 hours per week with flexible hours, with potential for ongoing.  Generous salary packaging is available.

 

Key Duties:

SHPA Education planning, development and delivery:

  • Contribute to the design and direction of the annual education program
  • Working with the Lead Education Pharmacist contribute to the content development and delivery of educational offerings including webinars, seminars, one off events and projects
  • Working closely with all team members involved in the design, delivery and evaluation of all education products
  • Contribute to updating processes and quality control tools to ensure all education delivered achieves a 95% or greater satisfaction rating.
  • Participate in achieving revenue targets
  • Liaison with external and internal key stakeholders

Education Products 

     Seminars & Webinars

  • Design, development and delivery of the annual webinar program ensuring webinars are diverse, current and of a high-quality meeting both member and non-member CPD requirements.
  • Liaison with Specialty Practice Stream Leadership Groups/ Seminar Leads providing guidance for the development of seminar structure, content  and delivery modes with a focus on virtual seminars.
  •  Ensuring the application of quality control tools including evaluation reports.
  • Working closely with all team members involved in the design, delivery and evaluation of all education products

     ClinCAT®

  • Responsible for ensuring all ClinCAT® evaluators meet and maintain their certification requirements and provide support for evaluators
  • Ensure all ClinCAT® resources are regularly reviewed and update remain current
  • Be an advocate for the ClinCAT® training and tool.
  • Explore opportunities for ClinCAT® to be modified to meet the requirements of other cohorts and make the required modifications to the training program and tool.

     Projects

  • Responsible for various project deliverables including liaising with external stakeholders including projects funded via sponsorship from industry and government organisations
  • Ensure project deliverables are achieved within timelines and budget

     Accreditation 

  • Completing CPD accreditation applications as required for National SHPA events
  • Providing accreditation guidance to members, Branch CE teams  and external education providers

Required skills:

Essential

  • Exceptional communication skills with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Competency Standards Framework for Pharmacists 2016.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of online content.
  • Advanced computer skills including high level proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability for some out of hours work and interstate travel

Highly desirable

  • Trained SHPA ClinCAT evaluator
  • Willingness to develop skills to be a presenter/tutor for ClinCAT® training sessions
  • Knowledge and understanding of APC accreditation requirements for education programs
