Location: Manning Base Hospital
Manning Hospital Pharmacy Service provides medication reconciliation for patients, review of medicine charts, supply of outpatient medications, antimicrobial stewardship and inpatient care. The service also supplies the medications for HiTH and dose administration aids (Webster packs) for rehabilitation and mental health.
Manning Hospital provides a broad range of specialist services to the residents of Greater Taree, Great Lakes and Gloucester local government area.
An opportunity exists to lead a diligent and committed team of 4 pharmacists and 6 support staff (technician / admin) to deliver contemporary clinical pharmacy services across the hospital working in multi-disciplinary teams. As the successful candidate you will have well developed leadership skills; proven ability to achieve high quality and agile pharmacy services; and be skilled in the promotion of excellence in medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship.
You will report locally to the Director, Allied Health & Integrated Care through monthly accountability meetings, and be professionally supported by the District Pharmacy Leadership team. Ongoing training and education will be monitored through regular manager catch ups and annual performance development review. All Pharmacy staff are encouraged and supported to undertake professional development and research activities.
