The Department
The Pharmacy services operate over 4 sites within Alfred Health and incorporate extensive clinical, education and research programmes involving training interns, undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacists and overseas research students. Services have been aligned with the Alfred Health clinical programme structure. Pharmacists are essential members of all clinical teams and have a critical role in patient management.

The Role
We are seeking an outstanding senior pharmacy leader to join one of Australia’s most innovative hospital pharmacy teams.
The Alfred Health Pharmacy Department provides the full range of contemporary services to manage and support medication usage across all the Alfred Health campuses. These include dedicated comprehensive clinical pharmacy services, medication use and safety services, clinical trial and research programs, and a range of innovative educational programs across all level of practice.
The position of Deputy Director of Pharmacy People and Culture, in association with the Director, and Associate Director of Pharmacy, will lead and co-ordinate delivering a capable, competent and engaged workforce able and willing to deliver safe, high quality person centred service within Alfred Health pharmacy services.
The responsibilities of the position includes workforce management and capability building whilst promoting a safety and wellness culture through fostering improvement and innovation across all pharmacy teams.

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in leading and coaching highly effective teams is essential.
  • Strong demonstrable communication,
  • Problem solving and relationship building skills
  • Registered pharmacist in Victoria
  • A relevant post graduate qualification is required.
