The Pharmacy department at Peter Mac provides a comprehensive patient-focused service, incorporating all facets of innovative clinical pharmacy practice and research. Specialised areas include cancer clinical trials, pharmacogenomics, clinical cancer informatics, medicines information, quality use of medicines and clinical education. The department has an ongoing commitment to practice-based research and offers opportunities for involvement to all staff.


The Pharmacy Department is looking for a Deputy Director to join our innovative, comprehensive service.  The Deputy Director of Pharmacy (Quality & Research) is responsible for day to day management of quality, safety and research activities of the Pharmacy service and plays an integral role, with the Director of Pharmacy, Deputy Director of Pharmacy (Operations) and the senior management team, in setting service strategy and planning for practice innovation and improvement.

This exciting career opportunity in a senior management role will suit an experienced hospital pharmacist and manager, who is eligible for pharmacist registration with APHRA. We are looking for an enthusiatic leader with a proven track record in quality use of medicines and research and who has postgraduate qualifications in pharmacy or management.  Experience in and proven commitment to oncology pharmacy practice and research is highly desirable.


Salary and conditions will be aligned to the Victorian Hospital Pharmacists EBA.
