About the Role
The CGH Pharmacy Team is looking for two pharmacists to join our team of clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and a pharmacy intern. The successful applicants will work in a clinical capacity, rotating through acute wards and in the dispensary.
We aim to be flexible within an ever changing and ever-expanding health service. Pharmacists have the opportunity to work with patients across critical care, general medical, general surgical, obstetrics and paediatrics in addition to support our day oncology and haematology service, multi-disciplinary respiratory clinic and general outpatients. Pharmacists also take an active role in quality improvement projects and education.
A commitment to the other members of the pharmacy team is essential for us to meet the needs of our diverse group of patients.
Position one is suitable to early career pharmacists and recent interns. We offer a supportive environment with access to more senior pharmacists and assistance to complete relevant CPD.
Position two would suit a pharmacist with at least 2 to 3 years of experience working in a hospital and an interest in expanding their skill set. Experience in oncology is desirable.
The right applicant may be offered a Grade 2 position, with associated responsibilities, which may include: participation in the on-call roster, working in day oncology, supervising more junior pharmacists, participation in organisation wide working groups or working in the multidisciplinary respiratory outpatient clinic.
The pharmacists will work 8:30-17:00 Monday – Friday with some weekend or on call work on a rotational basis.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Current AHPRA registration as a general pharmacist
- Excellent clinical skills, pharmaceutical knowledge and attention to detail
