Job Description

You will be responsible for the operations of the pharmacy services at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), as well as providing high level leadership in administration, teaching and research. In particular, you will direct and develop the pharmacy operations of the Pharmacy Department, resulting in the provision of an efficient and innovative service to RAH patients.

Striving to optimise patient health outcomes by the quality use of pharmaceuticals and associated activities, you will direct and develop high level programs which have a crucial importance to the successful achievement of State-wide initiatives, including a newly established pharmacy service model at the RAH and the roll-out of EPAS at the RAH. You will be responsible for the assessment and implementation of technology solutions to support the practice of pharmacy at a state-wide level, inclusive of pharmacy management computer software, automated pharmacy distribution solutions and computerised pharmacy ordering and prescribing processes.

Selection Criteria:

Holding a Bachelor of Pharmacy or Diploma of Pharmacy, you will be registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and have a postgraduate qualification in pharmacy or a related discipline. Demonstrating a distinguished career and an established national reputation in pharmacy practice, research, teaching and administration, you will be experienced in undertaking complex large project management. Your high level leadership, supervisory or management skills will equip you to communicate and liaise effectively, motivate staff, solve problems and effect change and exhibit high levels of initiative and innovation.
