  • Assistant Deputy Director of Pharmacy – Education, Research and Hospital in the Home (HiTH) services
  • 1.0 EFT, Full-time, 12 month fixed term contract (Maternity Leave cover)

About the role

The key result areas for this position include the following:

  • Collaborate with the Deputy Director of Pharmacy – Clinical Services in developing Pharmacy education services across Monash Health.
  • Member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team with opportunities to support the Clinical ADDoPs
  • Provide leadership, coordination and development of the Monash Health education program for all pharmacy staff, including pharmacy interns, pharmacy residents and pharmacists as well as developing educational materials for new pharmacy services and chairing the Pharmacy Education Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Committee. Manage the day to day functions of the pharmacy department at Kingston Centre
  • Lead the development of the Pharmacy research program and overseas research submissions, grant applications, ethics applications and publication submissions through the Pharmacy Research CQI. Work with other members of the Pharmacy Leadership Team to develop and implement an annual quality business improvement plan aligned with the strategic goals of the pharmacy and Monash Health
  • Oversee the Hospital in the Home (HiTH) service working with the HiTH Team Leader.
  • Participate in recruitment of pharmacy staff

About You

You are highly professional with a willingness to lead by example and to role model expectations of your people.  Your positive approach enables you not only to articulate a vision, but to bring your people with you.

You can also demonstrate:

  • Experience in leadership and team development
  • Hospital pharmacy experience
  • Current registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA and Australian working rights
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications, such as Master of Clinical research or equivalent, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Stage 2 or Stage 3 is highly regarded
