You will coordinate, develop and provide a comprehensive, integrated, multidisciplinary Clinical Pharmacy service to Port Lincoln and outreach sites. As the Senior Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the organisation, management and operation of the designated pharmacy area. Providing a comprehensive high-level range of pharmacy services, you will exercise independent and autonomous judgement in the provision of pharmacy services, medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients of the hospital. You will also provide leadership and guidance to medical and nursing staff and other health professionals, in accordance with hospital and divisional policies and procedures and professional standards and guidelines relating to pharmacy practice. You will play a pivotal role in the optimisation of outcomes for patients by implementing strategies to achieve the best possible quality use of pharmaceuticals in a safe and cost-effective manner and in accordance with hospital policy.

You will hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Demonstrating extensive experience in a hospital pharmacy practice with proven ability to supervise, educate and train professional and non-professional staff, you will be confident in working independently or under broad guidelines and self-direction. Your strong written and oral communication skills will equip you to effectively interact with a broad range of people and work effectively within a multidisciplinary health care team.
