The Pharmacy Department has a culture of continually reviewing processes, to deliver quality services efficiently. Our team of highly skilled and motivated staff works well as a happy cohesive team and provides extensive clinical services to the obstetrics, gynaecology and neonatal ward in addition to medicine information services.
The senior clinical pharmacist has the responsibility of coordinating the pharmacy services provided in the areas directly under her supervision. This includes the operational and planning for the clinical areas – maternity, neonatal, gynaecology and oncology wards. The role also includes coordinating the training of the intern pharmacists.

To be successful within this role you will need to have:
- Experience in providing clinical pharmacy services to a broad range of specialty areas
- Excellent organization skills
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication and teaching skills
- Sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant aspects of pharmacy services, particularly a demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with the SHPA Guidelines
- Experience in contributing to practice improvement projects
- Experience in supervising and providing education and training to pharmacy staff and students
